About Us
Nyota Fund was founded in 2015 with a simple vision: to make quality microfinance accessible to every entrepreneur in Kenya. We recognized that many talented business owners were struggling to access affordable capital, not because they lacked potential, but because traditional banking systems were too rigid and exclusionary.
Starting with a small team and a big dream, we built a platform that combines technology with human touch. Our streamlined application process, competitive rates, and flexible terms quickly gained the trust of thousands of borrowers across Kenya.
Our founders came from diverse backgrounds - from corporate finance to grassroots community development - which gave us unique insights into both the financial and human aspects of lending. This diversity of thought continues to drive our innovation and customer-centric approach.
